What is the full form of DNA?
DNA: Deoxyribonucleic acid
DNA full form is deoxyribonucleic acid and it is found in all types of living organisms. it contains genetic information about an organism. DNA also helps in the development and functioning of an organism and this information is passed from one generation to another generation.
Where the DNA is present in the human body?
DNA is present in the nucleus of the cell in human body and it is present in each cell of the body and DNA stores the genetic information in the form of codes and that is made up of 4 nitrogenous bases like Adenine (A) cytosine (C) guanine (G) and Thymine (T).
These nitrogenous bases pair with each other like( adenine pairs with thymine) and ( cytosine pairs with guanine) to make a base pair and this all is attached to a sugar molecule and also with a phosphate molecule to make the nucleotides. these nucleotides tie to the opposite sides of each other to make the two large stands and they form a shape or structure called a helix.
DNA has a very special ability and that ability is to replicate means it can make co[ies of itself DNA performs like a template to make a new stand so the new cell can make the exact copy of the DNA that is present in the old cell.
